““This was probably one of the most magical experiences of my life. Jess’s ability to tune into your horse is like nothing I’ve ever seen. My horse was very closed off and guarded, but the one read she was able to get off of him pretty much immediately, was something my daughter and I have felt strongly for quite some time. She meets each horse where they’re at, and fosters learning that will work for each individual. If they’re in a place where they need to take teeny tiny, almost imperceptible steps in progress, she is right there with them (or helping you as the owner) praising and rewarding for every try and pushing just gently enough to help them advance without overwhelming them. If they are capable of and happy to take big bounding steps in progress, she’d be right there for that too. Seriously, just being in her presence is peaceful and kind of like being enveloped in a warm, invisible hug.
Working with her mom Kelly, a Self Mastery Coach, was also absolutely wonderful. As busy people in a modern world, I think we get further and further up into our heads, rarely (if ever) checking in with our bodies...if we do happen to feel something in our bodies, we push it down and try to bury it, rather than welcome it, get curious about it, and listen to it. We’ve learned to pretty much tune out or tamp down all of those feelings, when in reality, those are probably the most reliable type of feelings we have because they are SO basal and elemental. They aren’t cluttered by what we see or hear, or other thoughts swirling in our heads, they are pure. I had many revelations this weekend, probably the most profound was that I’m a bit shut down myself (much like my horse) and feeling “stuck”. I’ve got some work to do, and I’m looking forward to it. Thank you Jess and Kelly for such an awe inspiring, eye opening, and more importantly soul opening weekend.” ”
