The New Beginning Program

For horses who need help to begin again.

If you have a horse who is struggling to behave under saddle or has become uncontrollable on the ground, I know how disheartening it can be. You might be feeling anxious, angry or frustrated at their behavior, which only adds to the problem. I have been the person whose horse was spooking relentlessly under saddle at the slightest things, and no matter what traditional approaches I took, nothing would work. The New Beginning Program is a complete restart to help you and your horse heal from the past and begin down a new road.

We will discuss a roadmap at our evaluation and ensure that we are acting in the best interest of you and your horse. The lessons and healing that your horse receives will be completely customized to their needs.

Timeframe:

This extended-stay program is typically 6+ months in length. A realistic timeframe will be discussed upon evaluation, keeping in mind that more troubling behaviors may be uncovered throughout the process that will need to be addressed.

Prerequisites:

• Horses should be 4+ years of age, but horses younger than this will be considered on an as-needed basis.

• For under saddle issues, the horse must be physically cleared by a vet either before or upon arrival to rule out any major physical issues that may be contributing to the behavior. We cannot train a horse to stop doing a behavior that is caused by discomfort so it is best to ensure the health and wellness of your equine friend prior to investing in training.

Cost:

As you can imagine, this is the most time-consuming and intensive program. Having to undo muscle memory, past behavioral patterns, etc. is a process that requires patience, compassion and strength. Pricing for this program depends on the needs of the horse and their human and will be agreed upon during evaluation.
