Get 3 or 4 days of one-on-one instruction for you and your horse
Private 3- and 4-Day Workshops for people who are looking to break through barriers and develop a new level of connection, trust, and love with their horses. You receive 6 hours of one-on-one instruction with your horse PLUS unlimited hours of auditing my work with other horses. These workshops can be used for troubleshooting problem behaviors, starting young horses, liberty or trick training, or whatever else your heart desires!
Day-to-Day Flow:
Day 1:
AM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Mid-Day: Unlimited access to audit/observe my work with other horses so you can absorb and learn as much as possible. Questions are encouraged while you watch!
PM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Day 2:
AM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Mid-Day: Audit/observe my work with other horses
PM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Day 3: (If doing the 4-day option)
AM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Mid-Day: Audit/observe my work with other horses
PM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Last Day:
AM: 1-on-1 session (45 minutes-1.5 hours)
Mid-Day: Audit/observe my work with other horses
PM: Wrap-up and goal-setting session (1 hour)
Depart after the end of your wrap-up session

Workshops are held at Harmonized Horsemanship in Kiowa, Colorado. Your payment includes trailer parking and a dry stall for your horse. You provide feed and shavings. We will feed and care for your horse per your instructions during the stay. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining due upon arrival.

I had to laugh at the end because it doesn’t *look* like we’re doing much, but we are gaining a LOT of ground. At the private workshops, you work with your horse twice a day and can audit any other session while you’re there. Jess does a variety of work with different clients, so you’ll get depth and breadth in knowledge in the time you’re there.. And meet lots of sweet and beautiful animals.
Jess is a well-educated and intuitive trainer in her realm and I cannot recommend her enough. She is an effective verbal and visual teacher who shows us how to have two-way communication with our horses, rather than just asserting pressure and dominance. You will witness how transformative it is to the animals (and humans), even in a short time. I don’t like one-sided relationships, do you? Turns out horses don’t either, and I hadn’t realized I’d been doing that to my horse. Jess really facilitates the bonding between horses and their humans, which leads to healing and problem solving in realms that don’t even seem related.
Four days was not long enough! But it was such a great start, and I’m excited to keep moving forward. I feel so grateful for this experience, and judging by how the positive reactions I’ve been getting back at home, I think my horse is pretty glad we did this, too.”
